I got some in B&Q, they have various thicknesses. Not cheap though...

I just found this site yesterday, it was recommended by somebody on bit-tech http://www.hindleys.com/. It's a UK site that ship worldwide, postage to IRL is £6.50. I plan on ordering some stuff there soon, prices/range seems to be good. You'll get ripped off in any DIY type place and they'll usually only have relatively small sheets.
For gluing you need a thin solvent cement, it sort of welds the plastic together.

Nowadays they charge Ł15 for delyvery.
Seems like you cant get any solvent cement for styrene / polystyrene in whole ireland - at least in DIY quantities:mad:. Its probably not a huge business oppurtunity but somone should fill that gap. If u found a(n online) shop within ireland, register and let us know about it.

I had the same problem getting acrylic (plexiglass) for some mods i did last year. Tried all diy shops, builder providers etc. Diy shops massively overpriced and builder providers only sell in barn door size sheets. So eventually got what i wanted on ebay. http://myworld.ebay.ie/sim-acrylics
I got 3 A3 size sheets for very little. Highly recommend them.

Edit: WOW, just realised this is a three yr old thread, awesome!
