bit of a longshot, but many 00 primeras came with standard 6 disc changer, it might be worth finding out if they're the same part. lots of them about.

Another option would be to get aux adapter which plugs into cd changer, then you can use mp3 player or ipod instead of cd changer. i have one for my ford focus.
