dont know of them to be honest...
the best advice i can offer is ask them yourself.. find out the name of the procedure and the tools etc and have a look on the internet...
just so you know.. 99% of the time your left with scarring. not 100% noticable but if you were to get tanned you would defo see it.
ever concider a coverup?

I have asked them. This is suppose to be some new system, not laser. The tattooist injects a cream onto the tattoo area and it draws the ink out. the system is called E-rase.
Done a bit of research on the net but not much info out there. There is also a second (non laser) removal system in the UK called Tattoo Erase developed by some mad tattooist using lactic acid. I can find a bit more info on that but would like to hear from someone who has used either system.

THE PROCEDURE
All treatment is carried out in the clinical environment of our treatment rooms, by trained therapists, using the most modern equipment. The top of the skin is treated in a series of dots in a similar way to how the tattoo was put in, using a needle. Instead of ink however a natural product is used.

This product encourages the body to expel the pigment of the tattoo, similar to how the body expels a splinter. A small scab is formed on the treated areas. The scabs will fall off over a period of two weeks taking the ink with it.
Because we are working with the body, we need to give it time to work and recover. Treated areas must be left to fully recover before work on an immediately adjacent area is carried out. This is a minimum of 8 weeks. The process is repeated until the entire tattoo has been treated and removed. Around 6-8 treatments will be required for a smaller tattoo. The length of treatment time will vary according to the size of tattoo we are treating.

a little birdy just told me its saline solution thats tattood in over the ink and then breaks it down..

Fading with Saline
Some tattoo artists can fade a tattoo by “tattooing” (not injecting) saline solution into the area where the old ink resides. This is most effective with older tattoos, and is not a reliable method for tattoo removal. However, sometimes this can be done to fade a tattoo and make it easier to cover it up with a new tattoo. There is some controversy among tattoo artists as to the effectiveness of this technique, but it poses no harm to the client and is worth a try for someone wanting to lighten an existing tattoo. Finding an artist that does this, however, may be difficult.

dude, my advice is STAY AWAY FROM LIVING ART IN CORK, whether is for having a tattoo done or - worse - removed! I will gladly show you pics of a horrible piece, thankfully it was small and I already had it covered up, that the guy upstairs in living art did on my arm; horrible is an overstatement I don't mind telling ya: out of symmetry, smudged, outlines grossly drawn, rushed, a bad one all the way I still don't know how I ended up there...... ah, yes, I totally misunderstood directions from a friend of mine. Dude, for God's sake do not go near Living Art.

Well 2 months ago finally made it to the UK to have a go at having the tat removed. So now I've got a tattoo that has what looks like cig burns going through it. I'm told that this will heal up but I'm waiting to see what happens before going for a 2nd session.
Was in Marbella last week and saw a place also advertising for non laser treatment but the guys didn't speak much english and my spanish is not up to that technical level so couldn't get any details. The place was called La Geisha Tattoos, has anybody heard of these?

I have 3 small ugly self made tattoos that I have been wanting to get rid of for almost 25 years!! I have looked everywhere and all of it leaves disgusting burns on your body...until now. But cripes who the heck can afford to spend that much to get rid of them. Sheesh. Think I would just rather keep them and try to hide them the best I can! Thanks for the info tho!!:(

Why don't you consider getting them covered up with something nicer?

Anyone know what's the beef with Metalmorphosis doing these again? I rang up a while ago but they have some guy that comes in from the UK or something every now and then to do it. I had one session a few months ago with Elaine but she's since left.

Should only need one more session as it's small. Might give them a ring again this afternoon

Its been 4 months since I had first treatment and the circles are starting to fade, I asked how long it will take before the area goes back to normal skin and it will be 6 mnths to a year after the final treatment. But everytime I have a new lot of circles done the others turn red again, this is apparantly becase of the trauma caused to the area.

you should consider re-working or covering up.laser is great for lightening the existing tattoo, and even after 2/3 sessions there can be plenty of progress and fading, allowing a re-work of the area with a new tattoo. laser is the most proven and reliable method with fairly consistent results, products like erase come and go often and the results can vary wildly. research it some more.the skindeep forums have plenty of info and pictures of removals in progress, incl some 'erase photos.

got a arabic tattoo got done there and put it on back to front. paid 100 for it,its smudged, badly outlined and rushed! the guy stenciling it even muttered something while copying my design 'ah **** it,il just do it this way cant be ****ed'. their attitude sucked...:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Had tattoos removed in dublin about 12 years ago
No scars, perfect job,there is of course a slight difference
in the colour of your skin where tattoo was, i believe the laser
treatment kills the pigment in your skin.
The difference is so slight, i am the only one that can see it.
Cost a good few pound to get them off, not to mention the
fu..in pain, glad i got them off though.:cool:

Japbyrne, Can I take it from your comment that you used laser? If so where did you get it done and how many sessions did it take? What size and colour was the tattoo?

Glad to hear you sound happy. I have just started - had first laser session last week. I think I can see some fading already, althoug it's still a little red, so hard to tell. It was painful, but not awful.

My tattoo is quite small and is not in a very visible location, so if there is some change in skin tone, I would be happy enough, but don't like the sound of the scarring some people have mentioned on these threads. I don't mind the money so much, because the payments are spread over sessions - its not like it's a lump sum or anthing, but don't want to pay a fortune to end up badly scarred from it, or end up with it just looking that a bad tattoo, rather than a tattoo I am just sick of!

I didn't really look at alternatives to laser as I thought it was the only half reliable way to do it. Should I have looked at alternatives? My tattoo is a blue colour, which I gather is the hardest to remove (they didn't tell me that when I chose it!)

More information on other peoples experiences would be great - particularly before I go too much further down this road!!

I think that the only real alternative to lazer removal is getting a cover-up tattoo done!

Did you get the TCA peal done or did ya do it yourself??
If you got it done where did you get it done?? thinking of trying this but dont wanna buy a kit of ebay...
