RTE want you to vote for your Favourite Defence Ministry Logo

never heard of www.who-sucks.com or whatever it is, and yet RTE News feel it important in the National Interest to report any Mickey Mouse story from the internet.... Vote anyway to keep us top of this poll that will probably go on for ever. It's not as auspicious as the BBC Word Service online poll of the greatest song ever, which was won by the Wolfe Tones' version of "A Nation Once Again".

The elegant green logo for Ireland's Defense Ministry is competing in an online 'coolest logo' contest.

After leading earlier in the day, it has fallen into second place behind Portugal's dragon-topped crest.

Germany's logo is third.

We Irish have a proud tradition of winning these online polls.

I wasnt a fan of the Irish one either, voted for it anyway but the other ones look so much better by companison...

Lithuania's one is pretty hardcore, some kind of tiger-bear with a giant sword.

The Irish one could do without the belly. Other than that it's not so bad.

well like we have orange on the flag to be inclusive, maybe that's why there is an islamic crescent there, although it's facing the wrong way

defence logos are funny. The Irish one should be a crowd of leprechauns going back perspectively from one big leprechaun to many with beers in hand, the tagline beneath should read 'what you looking at'.

Lithuania and Portugal are the nicest. I like Irelands one, even if there is a boob caught in the harp strings. Netherlands is pants.
