Slumber Bear sleeping aid - any good?

    Hi,

Saw the Slumber Bear mentioned on RTE1's Baby on Board last week as a useful aid to helping a baby settle itself back to sleep. My seven-month-old son has trouble settling himself back to sleep once he comes out of a sleep cycle (usually after 45 mins during day time naps).

Has anybody tried using one of these SB's? Would you recommend it?

    Thanks in advance.

These are the things that make a sound like a heartbeat from the womb? We got a gift of one for our second boy and we found it good for the first couple of months to settle him.

We stoped using it though after a while because we were afraid it was something he might become dependant on. He didn't seem to miss it.

It might be worth a try, they are very soothing.

There are loads of other types of motion activated soothing toys out there so maybe something more suited to a seven month old could be found.

Maybe he is just waking up because he has had enough sleep? Is he taking a short nap twice a day or are you down to one?
