OP - Are you afraid you might try and shag him/her at the Christmas party? :D

Thats actually a fair point. Surely even the most PC person here can agree that if the above situation happened to someone they would most likely have to leave their job because of the ridicule? Your talking perhaps about someone who worked hard through years of college to get to the good position they are in, and being forced out over a few weeks by the jokes and behind-back talk, all because some loon who regards themselves as female took advantage of them when they were drunk and didnt know the situation? Would you really want that happening to a friend or family member?

Actually aside from that, seeing as by some of the responses here post op people actually are real women, would you find them attractive?

Oh, God help the poor lamb..! Are you 6? At any rate, if anyone - transexual or otherwise - takes advantage of someone drunk they're hardly the kind of person you'd want to work around.

And 'a loon who regards themselves as female'? I dunno even know how to respond; its a pretty digusting remark, and people like you are just a weight on what is for the most part a progressive society.

Its a legitimate question. Do you think there is more stigma associated with drunkenly scoring a tranny rather than, say, a fat girl?

And again, if you want to participate answer the main question- if the above happened to you or a family member how would you feel?

By some of the responses here post op people actually are real women, would you find them attractive?

And finally, exactly how is sex change surgery progressive in a historic, medical or evoloutionary (sp) perspective?

So where does PC end and actual mental illness begin? Id count wanting some operation that leaves you looking like some halfway yoke as being mentally ill, why, how crazy is crazy for you?

Incidentally it was some mad ranting woman (or whathaveyou) on Feedback that got me thinking about this.....

I would say that the PC ends at the level of the keyboard, the illness begins at the fingertips and stretches upwards from there and the interface are some of the posts.

"loon", "mad ranting"... who has the issue here?

What makes you assume that because someone is transgenderd they would be the ones to automativally leap on somene at the christmas party?

But the stigma is created by idiotic threads like this?!

And if it happened to a family member? I'd find it hilarious more than anything tbh. You'd have to be pretty damn jarred not to have an inkling, especially if things got in any way serious (and I mean, c'mon, whats a kiss?) and if that is the case its your own fault for not being in control..!

Besides, I'd imagine the majority of transsexuals wouldnt seduce someone without informing them of their past - even if only to save themselves the awkwardness.

    Righto

Seeing as nobody is answering the main questions posed, what is the point in even continuing?

If a hard working family member or friend had their life ruined by one moment of drunken foolishness you would be furious.

You dont find trannys attractive because despite your public i love everyone thing you think they are long haired men with fake breasts and equipment removed.

Its the answers you are thinking, but to post them is non PC or insensitive?

edit- OK one answer. To be honest if you think a situation like that would be funny given the hassle the person would put up with Im lost for words, and I hope you personally find yourself in the situation some day.

I was referring to tolerance.. your attitude is certainly less than progressive - and the more people like you around, the more ridicule everyone in society is exposed to!

Life ruined? Bit over dramatic don't you think? If they're small minded, they'd probably be embarrassed but that would be about it. As if embarrassing things never happen to drunken fools.

Everyone has their preferences. It doesn't give them the right to hate or despise people they don't find attractive.

Ha...! Are you telling me a drunken score could ruin your life???? Its a small little box you got there, mate

Im not saying I despise anyone, I feel very sorry for anyone who doesnt have a life like a regular Joe and faces ridicule due to any type of mental illness, Im commenting more on the fact that for all the talk of equality here people would take a rather different view if, lets say, their apparently straight brother announced he was going out with a transexual.

A fat girl is talked of for days. A fat ginger for weeks. A fat ginger with glasses, potentially years. We still take the mick out of one mate for a ginge from 3 years back and a rather heavy set speccy one who attempted to rape him after he had drank 25 Mickey Finns :D

A transexual? Whoever is still alive for your funeral will be talking about it. A person could get over the abuse from their immediate friends, but if you are in a large workplace and a majority of people in other sections (remember that on this thread, for whatever reason, the opinions are vastly different to the majority out there) they would know you to see as "that guy who got with that yoke" it wouldnt be ideal.

If a person is so hard working why would a drunken shag with anyone ruin their life? Good grief, women who have drunken shags with men can end up pregnant. Does that ruin their life?
Is it in the same league as a man getting a slagging because he hooked up with someone he then found out was transgendered?

And anyway, I thought this was about working with a transgendered person. I dunno about you but I find it pretty easy not to shag everyone I work with.
Is it just me? Is it? :D

Good old strawman argument. Actually no one makes me uncomfortable to work with. I believe I could be professional enough to do my job without wondering if the person beside me has the wrong tackle.

Your the one with the sexual fixation.

I don't know much about her outside of her feedback posts.

However, after reading some of your posts here, she has my infinite pity if this is the kind of attitude she encounters on a regular basis.

Nobody? If a colleague told you he was attracted to children, would it be all good as long as he didnt abuse any or didnt access real child porn?

As said, I dont want to work with anyone who participates in self mutilation, be it their arms or their penis. Do I have an arm fixation now?

Because Im sorry that people have this condition?

Most people I know would be happy to shoot the lot of them. Im saying its a sad state of affairs if someone is mentally unbalanced to this extent.

I know a guy who I was friends with and fancied and had even flirted me and a mate of mine and I recently found out like to dress up as a woman at the weekends
I knew he was bisexual but I never thought about it much
Recently I was also out with him while he was dressed as a woman as he came to the bathroom with me and asked for makeup tips , it kinda freaked me out as all I kept thinking was “god when he’s dressed as a man he’s so fcuking sexy I’d do him in a second but how can I like a man who feels this way about his body”
Hmmm that’s just my 2 cents with the experience

So is there no one in your workplace with a tattoo or a pierced anything?
You must work in a convent.
So I doubt you'll have too much to fear from shagging a transgendered co-worker at the Christmas party, in that case.

    Dont be pedantic.

And yes, while we are on the subjet I wouldnt fancy working with a goth that had spikes coming out of multiple orifices either, in fact there is a guy who lives in this area and he is absoloutely covered in the stuff on his face/head, looks ****ing freaky. Tatoos dont cause lasting actual body/skin damage if done correctly, so its not a valid argument.

It's about as valid as you comparing a a transgendered person to a paedophile. Or wanting to shoot those who are transgendered because you're sorry for them.

Funnily enough, all the irrelevant talk of not knowing who is gay/transgendered in work makes me think of something far worse: how many people do I know in a surface sense that could secretly be shallow, bigoted imbeciles...

Id rather have their 'condition' than yours tbh. Id seek therapy if I were you. You seem to have some pretty weird sexual hangups.

Imagine the conversations you would have!! Would definitely brighten up my working day. I'd say it would definitely be an experience. Of course I'd steer clear of them during office nights out in case I do something haha :D

    What age are you?

I hope for your sake that you have some kind of redeeming qualities. If not, prepare for a lonely life.

    +111111 LMFAO :D

I'd have absolutely no problem working with LGBT whatsoever as long as they behaved in a manner that is deemed approapriate to the workplace.

At present I work with an Hetero Male and he couldn't be more of a pleb!

Yes we certainly have that, plus phone smashing, rudeness (no please or thank you when asking for something to be done), constant shrill mobile ringtone etc etc etc

    Gopher is it you?

*yawn* *shrugs* Maybe i would get used to their presence after a few days, but tbh this thread has shown an awful lot of two-facedness. I simply cant believe, judging it against people I know, that not one person here would be like "Jesus ****in Christ" in their mind when introduced to a female that was formerly a man, and the fact was physically obvious.

In that I dont like the idea of working with hormone pumped men who had their penis removed for non medical reasons?

Translation: "I have a tattoo". I am pretty sure tattoos are lasting and made by damaging the skin.

No I dont, and I wouldnt get one because they dont suit me. Suit some people, not others (Im not partial at all to them, bar maybe those "tramp stamp" lower back ones :) Even at that, it will look a state when she is 50).

Whether a good tatoo job is actual skin damage is a matter of opinion. In Mike Tysons case re the face I would say yes, hes a mentally unstable nut with a ridicilous looking tatoo. One or two on the arms or body, no problem.

Unecessary removal of body parts? Well, again an opinion, but a more sensible one I should think.
