Just think how boring the world would be if all of us were identical? Cone personalities, dressed exactly alike, hair exactly alike, and had the same opinions about the world? Differences make people interesting. So long as we try to live together peacefully, viva la difference!

ditto. tbh I can't see how it would bother anyone unless they were repressing sexual feelings for that person.

As long as they were not coloured I'd not be bothered provided behaviour was normal or as normal as normal can be is these crazy modern times we live in.

If only there were more tolerant people like you in the world.

What do you mean by "coloured"

Well I'd rather now work with a cross dresser or transexual actually.

And although I do have some gay friends I'd rather they were straight.

No problem with anyone, nationality, skin colour, orientation or plumbing.

I think they meant it as a joke.

And why should anybody be bothered about the sexual orientation (if thats the right term in this context) of anybody they work with? Too many of the problems with todays world are related to people who have problems with the way other people are/aren't. If you have to judge a person, judge them on wether of not you like the type of person they are, not what they have between their legs.

OP - Are you afraid you might try and shag him/her at the Christmas party? :D

I can't understand how anybody would worry about this sort of thing TBH

More an ironic pineappleorange but you can have a silver star anyways. Could have been a gold bar your use of italics!

Oh Jesus, it'd be like being back in school again

I wouldn't have a problem with working with a transsexual any more then working with someone who's gay. You might not even know anyway, and what should it matter.

If they were an annoying assho1e now that'd be a different story. But you don't need to be a tranny to be an assho1e, plenty of people are like that and it usually has little to do with their sexual preference.

Judge people on what kind of person they are, and not on what kind of person you think they should be.

Well, you never can be too careful. Wouldn't want to offend a genuinely bigoted person :D

As long as the person didn't irritate the crap out of me or anything like that then why should I give a sh!t.

Stark, take a look at the "pleasantly plump" thread. Some, ahem, individual is insisting that "teh gayz" choose to be "that way". Tell them off in your bitchiest fashion - please!!

And just think, if it wasn't for threads like this, we would probably think these people only existed in flims about the southern states of america in the 50s...

There's a dude in Cork who looks exactly like him! Blouse, skirt, string of pearls, high heels, make-up, but no wig - just balding thatch. Fair play to the lad!

I dunno about him, but I'd feel very uncomfortable working with someone who was flourescent green.

Racist. Martians can't help the way they are.

There you go - jumping to conclusions again. Who said just because a person is green that they are form Mars? They could have been born in Ireland to Martian parents. It does happen, you know..

Fine what I meant to say was martians of martian origins.

The cheek of him to suggest we're anything but born pleasantly plump.

LOL :D tbh in my view you can be anything as long as I dont have to see it or hear about it. Sex change surgery isnt for helping people, its a method of profiting from dire mental illness.

So you secretly want to ride every person that makes you uncomfortable?
Seeing as Im presumably on that list its bums to the wall time

Personally Im uncomfortable around anyone who mutilates themselves, be it women who cut their arms, junkies with rotted arms or men who cut off their janglers. Sex on legs the lot of them, the possibility of contracting Hep C off the junkie or the mentally ill girl setting fire to my house is the biggest turn on of all :D

Isnt it technically a stereotype to assume all trannys are gay men? Ive seen articles in some less intellectually challenging newspapers about men who have had the op and stuck with the wife.

    Rather not or rather now?

    Could you elaborate?

So where does PC end and actual mental illness begin? Id count wanting some operation that leaves you looking like some halfway yoke as being mentally ill, why, how crazy is crazy for you?

Incidentally it was some mad ranting woman (or whathaveyou) on Feedback that got me thinking about this.....

I think I know who you are talking about, but the "mad ranting" bit is more the person they are than their sexuality status.
I really don't get why you feel the way you do, though.
If it makes them happy and isn't hurting anybody else, whats the problem?
