ZERO upload speed for the last 24 hours. Cant send emails from any of my email accounts.

Customer service is crap. Im on hold AGAIN as I type this, Ive been on the phone to them for half an hour ans they dont seem to have a clue.

Like I said before, my download speed has HALVED for no appearant reason in the last 2 months.

Anyone know anything about that 3 network wireless 20 quid a month gismo?

    SICK OF IBB COWBOYS

The dude just got back on the line and said something along the lines of:

"Hello, Yes the other customers on the Ballymun mast are not having upload problems but some of them it seems have a dodgy connection. Ill try to sort it out soon" ...

    ...and so I wait..

Rip wave is only wireless flat rate dialup. IBB Breeze is faster.

    Or metro better.

The 3 is Mobile so it has a lowish cap and can vary from slower than ripwave to 10x faster depending on signal and howmany are on. The fixed wireless systems can control how many people are added on one mast.

    Thanks for the reply.

When I first got ripwave it was called "wireless broadband" and my speed was about "1mb"
Tests from www.speedtest.net showed it to be around 800k

But about 2 months ago my gismo went red light, and has stayed like that since. Tests from www.speedtest.net now show Im averaging around 350k.

About 2 weeks after the speed dropped, I got an email from IBB promoting a premium package which doubles the speed of my ripwave.
They are a pack of scumbags IBB.

My intenet goes down all the time. I'm gonna look into a few alternatives.

Hi folks. Im just posting this for Rip Wave users.
I have boosted my ripwave signal by 40% and stabelized the connection completely. I
havent lost a connection in 96 hours. My download rate is a constant 58.6kb, and i have tested my connection on
ISP test. I received 498k. I have achieved this by usung a pringles can in the method known as Cantenna. Instructions are availible on
the internet on the method but its easy. Cut a whole in a pringles can(empty cans are preferable!!!). The whole
should be big enough for the rip wave antenna, but not too big as the can needs to stay on.
Place the pringles can ontop of the repwave unit in such a way as that the antenna is stuck inside the can.
This will block out all other signals and amplify the ripwave signal slightly. It was neccessary to do this after the ripwave had connected to the network.
I tried it again with the unit switched off and it didnt work. But once switched on and connected, when the can was placed as described above
a noticable improvement was recorded. I will post more information as i get it. For more information google pringles, can , antenna, cantenna.
