THERE IS BROADBAND INTERNET IN MY HOUSE.

    Like, oh, my god.

[Prologue: my house is sort of in the countryside, and there is no wired or traditional wireless internet available. Seriously, I am, or was, at the centre of some sort of broadbandless black hole. It has caused me much angst for about 5 years now, but especially during the summers after I move[d] home from Halls [moving from college network interwebz to dialup is like a particularly insidious form of torture]. But all that is set to change...]

My cousin took a leap of faith and forked out for 3's wireless broadband thingy, and it arrived last Monday...and it works. There are some niggles; the signal is only available upstairs, and it can be a bit unpredictable, and the download limit is a fairly paltry 10GB per month...but there is broadband, in my house in Meath, and it costs only €20 a month.

3, I love you. You have saved me from a summer of painfully slow internetting. Have some free advertising.

[I'm living and working in a summer camp until the start of August, so this doesn't really affect me at the moment, but it's a major development, hence the post.]

So that night you don't really remember could possibly do with being remember?

What did you do to your fingers?

About a week and a half ago I carried an emperor's ransom in booze from chinatown to the upper west side. The bags cut the circulation off from my fingers. The tips of my left index finger and that finger that doesn't have a name on my right hand were numb up until last night.

Ah, you'll have a ball. Just watch your stuff in Barcelona, anyone I know who have been there (myself included) have had one part of their group mugged or something stolen from them.

Woohoo for having a cracking night last night at my mate's sister's wedding.

Woohoo: I am officially unemployed again, in preparation for what is essentially a 9-week world-travelling adventure (taking in two seperate versions of Disneyland along the way! Wheeeeeee!) starting Thursday at 6.30AM. Though I am sad to be leaving; I actually enjoyed working there, which is rare. But still - DISNEYLAND!!

    Whoo-hoo!

My mam and little sister just came back from 24hr Tesco with a bag full of loads of stuff I like to help make the final few hours of my thesis a bit easier - Honey Nut Cheerios, orange juice, bananas, chocolate mousse, Bounties, bottles of water, hair bobbins, Skittles, Ferrero Rocher, socks and other stuff that I can't remember now cos I'm back at the computer. It was sweetly unexpectedly nice and it made me really happy :)

When's the deadline for? And you can't eat hair bobbins!

    Unless...

It's due in on Monday morning, so just fixing up stuff and going over a couple of sections, sexy stuff like that.
