Hidden Valley, Rathdrum = 'Meeting of the Waters' ?

    Hi all,

    I was in Hidden Valley campsite in Rathdrum over the weekend and I have to say it was pretty good. I'm not sure why we never visited before, since it is a lot easier to get to from Dublin than most of our 'short weekend' sites .

    One thing is puzzling me though - I thought there used to be a site called 'Meeting of the Waters' around this area, but I can't see any sign of it now. I'm sure I saw it in some of the guidebooks as the name is just that little bit particular.

    Does anyone know if it is the same site, a different site, or whether I am just imagining things ?

    Hidden Valley is owned by the same crowd that owns Red Cross. That it the only camp site in that area that i am aware of. Its a nice camp site. The owners were telling us the last time we stated at Red Cross that they are having problems with Wicklow Co. Co. for planning etc.
