    another quote ..... 445.00 total

here's where the money is going ......

    lipo battery 45.00

    charger 30.00

computer radio 220.00 (inc 4 decent servo's that come with it)

so you can see 295.00 is long term use for future a/c .....

it would be great if you already had a charger/suitable radio but I don't :(

What about the conventional radio? How much?

I know a computer radio is the way to go, but I dont mind really as I dont plan to be buying lots of models.

    Hey guys

I just stumbled across this thread......

    My advice is: DON'T!

DO NOT under any circumstances consider buying any of this RC stuff!

If you find these start-up prices a bit too much for you, I can predict severe misery for you in the future if you do go ahead! I know, I've been there, I thought I'd just buy one cheap plane for fooling around with. Now, a year or so on, I've got an incurable addiction that has taken over my budget, my thoughts, my time, and my house!

(I am however, very, very happy, and its worth every cent!)

Well I ordered my Easystar this morning ..... inc. Futaba radio and 1800 Lipo/charger ....

It's costing a small fortune with the radio spec and Lipo but I don't mind ....

    after all ....

    it was Coolwings $$$$$$ idea !!!!!! ...... :D

ps. delivery tba .... they keep selling out !!!!

pps. They flew a 2 engine Multiplex Twinstar in a firm breeze, while I was there ..... I must say I was quite impressed ..... :)

Popped down to the local RC club on Sunday to see some of the action ......

I suspect my 'Easy' is going to look fairly tame when compared to some of the fabulous aircraft on show ..... :(

but, the guys said don't worry about it .... we all have to start somewhere .... :)

was talking away to a guy when in the distance a very loud thud !!!! ...

..... this is going to be bad, he said .......... a few minutes later some of the guys returned with a hundred pieces and a total write-off .....

a/c went nose down under power with no control from the pilot possible .... ..... brand new a/c .... only 4 flights ..... very experienced pilot .... I saw it b/4 it went off ..... looked like a Piper Cub style (high wing) .... approx 6 foot wingspan and very smart model ..... practically nothing left except perhaps the engine ... :(

Sure hope that doesn't happen to Easy Star's ....

How much did your Easy come all in and delivered?
I cant see myself going to aircraft clubs anytime soon so I would be teaching myself more or less
