You should be able to transfer online. You sometimes need to ring them to set up transfers to business accounts, though once it's done, it'll be listed on your Transfer page, where you can then set the amount you want to send, etc.

    Thanks:)
So is doing it online the best way for AIB customers or would it still be better to lodge it into the BOI account by going into one of their branches?

Use AIB Online if you're in no rush. But the money will appear quicker on your Wirecard account if you go to a BoI.

Ok thanks:) What's the time difference between the two do you know?

This is just a quick summary of my experience with Wirecard and the outcome.

Sometime in late May I made my first transfer using BOI phone to Wirecard. The money showed up in my account the next day with no problems and I was happy. On 4th May I transferred €100 using the same method, BOI phone. A week later there still was no sign of the money on my Wirecard account, so I began trying to contact Wirecard about it.

After almost 7 weeks and a ridiculous amount of times trying to contact Wirecard, I have got my €100. I sent them a total of 16 emails, they responded to only three of them. I initially had difficulty trying to get through to their customer support number (seems to be a problem dialling from Blueface phones), but in fairness they were nice and friendly when I got through to them eventually. However, they pretty much fobbed me off every time I spoke to someone.

Basically what happened is that they said that there was no record of my transfer to their account and they wanted proof from my bank that the money was transferred. It still took 4 weeks from the time I sent them the proof of transfer until my money was returned to me. All I was ever told on the phone was "Our accounts team are dealing with this issue", and they could not transfer me to the accounts team, leaving me in limbo. In the end I had to threaten them with taking them to the small claims court before they would do something about my money they had lost.

In conclusion, there is no way I would trust Wirecard with my money again. The customer service is a disgrace, I was never once called back when they said they would. Their team on the phone are polite, but are masters at "it's not my problem and the person who is responsible is not contactable."

That was my experience with Wirecard, I hope you all have a better time with them.

I'm having a problem with them at the moment, though I think they are only withholding some money until I verify my identity.

Bascially, I transferred 200 euro over and then I got that standard letter about verifying your identity to increase the limit. In the meantime I spent the 200 euro so my balance was down to pretty much zero. It seems now they have reversed the 200 euro lodgement and my account is now -199 euro.

sounds very like paypal in some respects. I'll post my experience later in the week when boi setup wirecard on my online banking (takes 5 days:rolleyes: ). Has anyone else had problems with retailers not selling 3v anymore?

One shopkeeper told me that out of the €5 that 3V takes, they get a tiny amount (I think maybe 50c but I can't remember exactly...). Most get fed up after a while and tell 3V to take back the machines because it's just not paying them to sell their vouchers. So while they can be hard to find at times, it's gonna start getting harder rather than easier.

I've signed up for wirecard too but I've no idea yet when I'll deposit my first money.

Well I checked my account and the money was there!! In less than 24 hours too! Made a purchase and got a paypal receipt...although the transaction still isnt showing on the wirecard website....so everything seems to be good :D

Re above: the direct debit option ain't there for me either....I thought you guys meant the orange box at the side. Its missing from the "Deposit Method section"...amull87 why are you so special?

That's where I'm having the problem... I need the info to be sent to make the card be varified. I emailed and waiting on help. But they're taking their time.

Well I didn't get the Paypal number yet. So this means I'll have to wait until Monday!

never bothered verifying the card yet...the number should show up in the transaction history section. If it doesn't support will tell you.

HI there, I had this problem up to 2 mins ago, and I just checked now and it showed up in my account.

I was on the phone to them at the time but the receptionist said there mightn't be anybody left in the building.

I tried calling support yesterday and they said only the accounts people (NOT support) had access to the info. How annoying is that? I was planning on calling today and to just keep politely asking for the accounts department until they got the info for me.

I already verified my paypal account years ago but they just hit me with this when I went to pay with wirecard. I had used 'buy it now' so this was very inconvenient. I have complained that I cannot see any info on the reserved funds.

ok just got an mail back from them.

They said I couldn't use Wirecard to activate my paypal account.

    Funny, because i just did.

A tenner... what's the point? 10% of your transaction gone in handling fee.

perhaps he's just testing it out?...dipping his big toe in the water of prepaid credit cards so to speak.

I am still waiting for the Paypal charge of €1.50 to appear on the card.
And, after asking Wirecard if it can be used with Paypal, they replied:

    Dear Mr ******,

Thank you for contacting the Wirecard Service Team.

We regret to inform you, that Pay Pal payments are not supported by our
    system.

There was more, but that's all they told me about Paypal.

I do actually have reserved funds... 2.24 or something like that.

What number do I phone to speak to someone in English who can tell me the Paypal number thing?

EDIT: It's SATURDAY when they decide to reply to your emails and update your account. I just got the card number. :D

I think I may have confused her. And she may have ment something different.

On the 365Online, is 'To "Add a beneficiary" account please call 1890 365 200. ' the way you can add the German account to transfer money to their account online so they can transfer it to your Wirecard account?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 685 ✭✭✭jackbauer

chatmaster you can add the wirecard boi account to your 365online which is what i did. phoned on monday was setup when i checked yesterday evening. real efficiency:rolleyes: anyway you cant add a "foreign" account to 365online. go to the deposit money section of wirecard , choose wire transfer and at the bottom of the page you will find a pdf link with all the local account numbers. make sure you give your wirecard account number as the reference.

So I phone them and give them my account number and this:

    IR EUR Wirecard Bank of Ireland, Dublin 77073371 (IE18BOFI 9007 0377 0733 71) 90 07 03

    And bob's your uncle?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 685 ✭✭✭jackbauer

chatmaster you will need your 365 login details for verification then give them the name (wirecard) account number (77073371) sortcode (90 07 03 ) and the reference should be your wirecard account number and 5 days later you should be up and running. I sent them through a tenner yesterday as a test to see if it all works. advise you do the same!

It hardly takes 5 days to tranfer money, does it? Or is that just for first-time transfer?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 685 ✭✭✭jackbauer

takes 5 days from when you phone boi to setup a new beneficery to it actually showing up on the 365online. its crazy as aib online can be done there and then. once done a boi to boi transfer only takes 1 day.

Ah right. Probably handier for initial transfer to go to the bank in person to transfer money, and simultaneously set up 365Online for future transfers.

yes but my advice would be to do a test or two with small amounts. wonder why a bank here cant setup something similar. with 3v in "decline" it would be popular imo.

    ............then again this is Ireland:rolleyes:
