    Yes that is correct I'm not sure how they word it but any purchase of any house/property means you arn't a first time buyer

    Entirely correct. If any of the parties purchasing the property have purchased or been gifted property anywhere previously, either in Ireland or elsewhere, they are no longer considered FTBs, and anyone purchasing with them is likewise no longer considered to be a FTB. Note: there are exceptions to the gifting rule, to allow inheritance of properties up to a certain level.
