My brother's looking for an MP3 player for his birthday (nothing fancy) and I thought that this one seemed pretty good. According to the blurb (in the Argos catalogue) it has 1Gb memory (250 songs), has a 48hr battery (rechargable via USB port), is download compatible, and costs STG£59.99.
I was just wondering if anyone out there has any experience of them, or even knows if this sounds good (my knowlege of gadgets is somewhat limited).
    Thanks

I had the 2gb Samsung YP-Z5 until it got robbed a couple of weeks back:(
Battery life I dont think would have been as long as 48 hours but none the less was pretty good. Very user friendly and compatible with media player, didnt require manufacturers software or anything.

Lovely design, brilliant sound and only niggle was that the controls were a little touch sensitive but you get used to it. I would have happily replaced it with the same player only I ended up going with a 4gb Zen V Plus for the extra capacity.

i boought one of these last week, it is quite a good player. it charges via usb cable from your computer so make sure you hace access to a computer for charging purposes. i believe you can buy a normal charger for it as well.

Welllll happy coincidence, I am actually selling the 2gb model (black) over on adverts.ie...

It gets about 40 hrs battery for me and I love the player, it just refuses to work with my mac even though it is UMS compatible, since my windows box broke I find I'm not able to use my Z5 as much anymore.

I won one when the sony support I used to work for closed down last year. I think it's the four gig version (I don't use it that much as I have a car mp3 player already). It does have good sound and is easy to use.
