    Hi,

I bought a Tevion 32" flat screen tv in Aldi yesterday for €650, including 3 year warranty. Not a bad deal if you ask me. did anyone else get this tv?

Anyway, I'm looking to mount the tv up on the chimney breast. I want to try and hide all the cables the best I can. I'll be connecting only a sky box and a DVD recorder to the tv. I was thinking about screwing the DVD and sky box onto the wall in underneath the tv. (Hoepfully it's big enough.) I've seen it done and it looks pretty well.

The thing is, we use the fire, so if i run the cables into the chimney breast, I'll just burn the cables when I light the fire.

    Has anyone got any suggestions?

Depends on how thick the bricks are on the chimney breast. Ive seen installs done where an open fire has being used and there is no risk of the cables getting burned.

Some chimneys have wall lights mounted on them, there was never a risk of these cables burning!

A bit of external trunking is your only man there.
