    Hi all,

Was just wondering if people had used this website to buy cameras and if so people’s experiences. I know websites such as pixmania and komplett have been recommended previously on the forum however rebelio allow you to pay by Laser and it is also a little cheaper for the camera I’m buying. I’ve searched the forum but haven’t found any posts about this website so all info is appreciated!!

    Thanks!

It's quite expensive. EUR 75 + delivery for a generic 4GB SDHC card. I got a Sandisk one from 7dayshop last week for EUR 30 incl delivery

Surely if they pay for advertising ,they'd come up in a google search for cameras ? Which they don't seem to be.
Charging €450 for the 30D kit lens :D

Wow that is cheap, ill have a look there.

Having done more research there is some terrible reviews online for Rebelio from UK customers. They say that products are in stock, take your money straight away and then a lot of the products aren't in stock which they never tell the customer - people seem to only find this out by emailing (there is no contact phone number!) the company after the product has still not shown up in the given delivery time.

    Would people recommend Komplett instead?

Checking out the price of the lens I just bought, it's the same prices as Conn's...

It's 1050 for the 30D body and 1500 with the kit lens.
The kit lens is worth about 30-40 euro.

Brian - i was saying that the sandisk memory card mentioned was cheap, think you thought i was saying the lens was cheap and i have no idea whether it is or not!! Not a camera expert, just want a reliable camera for travelling.

Although when i look it up on 7dayshop it seems to be more expensive - well actually i can't find the 4gb one only the 2gb one and that is working out more than €30 - maybe the 4gb one has sold out in the clearance sale.

Komplett opinions anyone? Seems like mostly positive reviews on this site

I'd probably buy a small camera at pixmania ,their site is handy to use and they're not too far away (france).

have only bought a scanner off komplett, so hardly a hugely well informed opinion, but i had no problems with them at all.

plus, i'd buy off an irish crowd a lot quicker than from abroad, assuming similar levels of service.

They unfortunately don't have the camera I want - its seems to have disappeared. Won't be ordering til next week so it might have appeared back by then, although I would favour komplett as you can get it delivered via an post and aren't messing about with couriers

here is the card I was talking about. It's SD-HC rather than SD. SD only goes up to 2GB

    ??

Komplett certainly aren't irish, and their 'service' is a joke anyway. rebelio is some company registered somewhere in europe, with a .ie domain ...

Komplett ship from a warehouse in Amsterdam, they're by no means Irish.
I've bought a lot of computer kit from them and highly recommend them.
However, I tried buying a lens from them - it was marked as shipping from supplier (Canon, 1 week estimated for shipping) and when it hadn't shipped after 3 weeks I cancelled and got it in from Hong Kong in a week. So I'd say if the item is in stock with Komplett themselves go for it, otherwise I'd go elsewhere (East). But that's just me.

    Yep they do:

    Komplett.ie
    Unit B3(b)
    Airport Business Park
    Cloghran
    Co. Dublin

to be exact :D Think their customer service operates from Holland though so maybe that's just a warehouse or something.
