Got temp banned from a couple of forums (hate the word fora).. Currently banned from feedback (it's so long ago I cant recall the reason.. don't think I was ever given an official reason, but I suspect it was for sticking up for a banned user which I felt wasn't justified) and Paranormal for not being enough of a believer!

In general, I think the standard of modding is better nowadays and you don't see people banned for sport/kudos anymore.

yeah, I was banned from AH. it wasn't me fault tho, it was a bad decision, the mod was being a dick, I mean it was only a couple of cat pics ffs!. I told them clear as day "unban me now or i'll get my friends to mock you"

I got banned from the soccer access requests forum for a post in after hours by a mod not a mod of after hours. The usual one week ban that lasts nine months because you weren't told about the ban until you realised (belatedly) that you couldn't access the forum..

Have been banned a few times. One which sticks out was the time I got banned from After Hours for posting a video of an Iraqi guy having sex with a donkey. It seemed like a good idea at the time.

banned from many different fora for many different reasons.

but i dont think ive been banned from anywhere for about 5 years, i do know i havent been banned from anywhere since i became a cmod.

personally, as a general rule i only ban people for direct personal abuse, or being highly stupid (like posting porn, or links to illegal software downloads etc)
anything else is a clip around the ear and dont do it again.

I've been banned a couple of times for calling people all sorts of names. To be fair though, only banned twice and I've abused people a lot more then that. The mods must have agreed with some of the abuse. (I am a Mod and have been banned - Once a site wide ban for a week! But that got removed)

Banned plenty of times, mostly stupid stuff. Most mods are grand but posting a complaint in feedback is pointless, you just get flamed. Look at any thread in there where someone is making a genuine complaint about being banned and you'll see what i'm talking about.

I'm always on different site/forum and its really laid back anything goes sort of site, so coming to boards is a challenge because its so strict. Thats prob the reason i've been banned so much

Not so. Look at any thread where someone is demanding that their ban be lifted and you'll see that. Look at any thread where someone makes a genuine complaint in a civil manner and you'll see a genuine and civil response.

From the mod of feedback you'll get a genuine responce, yes. But feedback seems to be a hang out for mods of other sub forums, and they sit and wait to pounce on the next complaintee

Thats the impression i use to get anyway, I got banned about 6 months ago so i won't know what its like now

I actually PM'd the mods about twice or three times in the past few weeks seeing if i could get the ban lifted but i didn't even get a reply, typical
