Aldi 42'' TV €1199

Hi all,
Is it the same TV that was selling for €1,799 a while ago?

No, The last tv they had for sale was 47".
Still though 42" at that price is pretty good.

Seen a 42" in Dunnes for €999 same un-branded kind of flatscreen massive compared to my 27"

My mate got a Samsung Plasma 42" Q7 with a stand in Power City for 1100 after a bit of haggling.

Pallets of both of em still in Aldi in Coolock - are they that bad...just curious.

I think there a bit pricey TBH. I'm sure you could buy a similar size leading brand LCD for around the same price. Although you do get a free wall mount with the Aldi TV and HDMI cable which would cost a bundle to buy separately.

This is also a Phillips LG LCD screen, just branded as Tevion like all other Aldi products. The inclusion of the wall bracket and HDMI cable are also nice bonuses.

Just cos it's an LG screen doesn't make it a good TV.
There is more to a TV than the screen.

True, but on a plasma tv a good quality screen is a lot more important.
