Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi going to be in the West of Ireland for a couple of days next week and will have a car. I will be stationed in Galway and want to do some sightseeing etc. Can people here give me some suggestions such as the Cliffs of Moher etc. Thx

I know your title says "Places to See" but do you mean scenery or you want to actually visit towns or places of interest?

Clare is spectacular from a scenery point of view but I can't offer much help beyond that except to say if you're visiting the Cliffs of Moher as you mentioned, you should also drop into the Aillwee Caves.

If you fancy going North of Galway, you could do a lot worse than visit the Museum of Country Life in Castlebar. The only National Museum outside of Dublin and well worth the visit. You should then take a spin to Westport which is a great town in the summer.

Connemara is special at any time and you'll find lots to do there.

If you want to check anything else, I'll be happy to help.

Just drive to Conamarra and drive anywhere. Roundstone, Clifden, Maam, Leenane etc...
