Did anyone else get this in the daily mail today?
    Hilarious

    I especially liked:
"Many South Dubliners are pleasantly surprised to discover that these qualifications are recognised by their father's companies of their fathers' friends' companies, where many of them will spend the rest of their working lives.

    What did you think?

It's getting quite laboured at this stage.

The books are still good but the stuff published in newspapers is generally quite poor.

I've never, ever heard someone say 'roysh'.

Yes quite humourous especially the Yummy Mummy bit and their top heroes. For the record not all horse mad country protestants are up for it at the Dublin Horseshow (just incase ye were wondering)! I wish he would do one on the Northside of Dublin just to see his take on it. He had to get the bit in about the Leinster schools cup in didnt he lol :)

The writing was always too grating for me to be bothered reading. All that stupid phonetic English gives me a headache.

Anyone know why it was given away with the Mail on Sunday rather than the Sunday Tribune?

    Roysh, yah I'm sure you haven't loike....hmmm

Take a Dort trip to Dalkey and wander around the village, have a pint in Queens pub and see if that holds true.

R.O.C.K never gets old, the books are great, though the recent stuff in the tribune has been below usual standard. First book is still the best, pure genius!

Coo, must pop down and pick this up. Thought Sydney Parade was a return to form as Curious Incident was fairly poor, though it still wasn't a patch on the first two.

Ross O'Carroll Kelly barely featured in it. It wasn't written in character as him. They just slotted him in in a couple of boxes. It was like a rehash of is it just me or is everything sh!t with ROCK stuck on the cover to help it sell well

I've had more than enough experience of the people he's trying to take the piss out of. I've never heard someone say roysh (his most famous phrase). Lots of loikes and roights and doirts. But no royshs.

    Overheard in south Dublin recently:

Mother: "We're leaving at 2 o'clock on the dot".
Daughter: "But Mum, you said we were driving!".

    Had to smile.

ROCK is painful to say the least. Seriously, it's so repetitive at this stage I can't understand how Paul Howard hasn't gotten the message and stopped flogging a dead horse! With that said, I'm sure sales are consistently high which has encouraged him to keep producing this tripe.

    Wait. Wait. Wait!

I recall a a thread ages ago where you and this bird were having a convo with "roysh", "totally", etc. all over the place!

I think it was you anyway? I remember the guy was from Tallaght as well which was quite funny.

    Was it you?
