    Hello,

My 8 year old daughter comes home from school asking me to help her find information on the internet, that is related to class work. I am having difficulties finding suitable web sites for her age group. Often we find the subject matter, but after reading the first page, it then goes way above her (and my) head. Can anyone please advise me of how to search for suitable information. I know that it would be easier if I had an example, but obviously the subjects keep chaniging so it would be good for her to have one or two different web sites that she could become familiar with, that would cover many different subjects.

    Thanks,

    Hector (actually, Hector's wife)

wikipedia give info on almost everything and if its not exactly what you are looking, there may be a link to another site that may have what you are looking for.

My wife works for the National Centre for Technology in Education.

They run this site - http://www.scoilnet.ie/

I notice thay have a primary section for students split into each subject with links to external resources. There is also a resource finder in the teacher section.

Hope it is of use to you.
