    also....

    when is best to take it?

    1hour before workout and an while after with a health meal ?

    Milk is grand. Some people go on about how it slows down the digestion so isn't great Post-workout but I wouldn't pay it too much attention. Three most popular times are probably;

    Breakfast - You have been starved of protein for the night, this gives a quick boost.

    Post-workout - ASAP, obvious reasons.

    Pre-bed - Your body is about to be starved and is also going to be doing a lot of it's repairing so a shake (usually one mixed with milk to utilise the slow-release casien that is our "enemy" post-workout) before bed is another popular option.

    I mix my whey with milk, except for straight after working out.

    Post workout, I use a whey/simple carb mix (ProNutrition RAM) as soon as humanly possible after i finish (before showering, leaving the gym etc).

    But I use skim milk with it other than that. 300 mls of milk is about 10 grams extra protein, which is good.
