Crappy 80's rock band Heart had a song called 'Alone'

song lyrics = How do I get you alone

In 'The Fly', U2 - instead of 'every artist is a cannibal' I thought it sounded suspiciously like 'hairy arse is a cannonball' :D

Can anyone help me out? That new Spar advert ("Change a limp sandwich into a.....") has got most annoying, poxy song and I can't understand a single solitary fukin' word that is sung! It's wreckin my head but it's making me go even madder by not being able to understand the lyrics, so far I've only managed to conceive this out of it: "Denny stays on yer trumpet or........" and I'm sure as hell that couldn't be right. Bah!!

My friend thought the words to "I predict a riot" was " I have the tourettes " and my cousin thought the words were " I can reach the rice" .

Jimi Hendrix, Purple Rain: "Excuse me, while I kiss this guy" / "Excuse me, while I kiss the sky".
Wow, I know that was a long time ago but you even misheard the name of the song!

    Love is all around me..
"On my love you can depend" I honestly thought was "All my Love my Ugandan friend" I was baffled as to why the song referenced Uganda..

any of you who happen to have access to Bob Dylans 'Changing of The Guards', can you just fast forward to around 2:05 seconds into it...

it sounds, for all the world, like he sings

"She was torn between Jupiter and Apollo/And Mr Gerry Ryan"

Yeah, apparently it's "A messenger arrived with a black nightingale"
I always sing it as "They messed with Gerry Ryan and the black nightingale"

They were great in the 70s though.

    Another misheard lyric:
Moloko - The Time Is Now

"Give up yourself unto the moment" (I think is the real one)
"Give up your sandwich in the morning"

    Dexy's Midnight Runners-Come on Eileen,
Me & my brother always sang 'Come on Ollie'!

    And,

    LMC Vs U2
Real lyricsis 'Take me to the clouds above',
I thought it was 'Take me to the parking lot'!

For all your misheard lyrics needs

Red Hot Chili Peppers: Can't Stop

    The real lyrics were:
Can't stop the spirits when they need you

    But I misheard them as:
Can't stop the ferrets when they need food

    Chumbawamba: Tubthumping

    The real lyrics were:
I get knocked down, but I get up again.
You're never gonna keep me down.

    But I misheard them as:
I got no thumb, but it grew back again.
You're never gonna keep me down.

Morrissey - Every Day Is Like Sunday

I (aged 10) thought he was singing "every day he tried to sunbathe".

    Bless... :)

Heard: "Did you exchange a walk on part in a war for a negro in a cage"

    its:
Did you exchange a walk on part in a war for a lead role in a cage

Real: Thats me in the corner. Thats me in the spotlight, loosing my religion.
My interpretation: Thats me in the corner. Thats me in the spa, lying, loosing my religion.
