casio calculator fx-83ES

have casio calculator fx-83ES as requested by tutor but any time i enter a number the answer comes up as a fraction,i.e 1.5 =3/2,how can i bring it back to decimal??? thanx john

Switch it on, press SHIFT button then Mode/Setup button (top right corner) then press 2 to put it in LineIO mode.

Had to get one of those casio for my exams now as my old Sharp which I had since junior cert finally packed it in. I must say the sharp was a much better machine, having to press shift button everytime I want PI is becoming annoying.
