Strobist stuff (cool lighting whizbangery)

Hi,

Some of you may know already, but the strobist web site is performing some of the coolest off camera lighting on a budget that you can do. It's loaded with ideas, tutorials, explainations of stuff. The guy that runs it, David, ran a course in London last weekend that I attended. Wow!

Anyway, he's running an on-line bootcamp as it were starting in June. It's worth reading up on this stuff if you want to take part.

Ahah, i was looking at the groupshot from the london course about an hour ago and noticed merv from dublin tagged in it. "I wonder if he's a boardsie" i thought, then i come here and find this thread straightaway (:

Been reading strobist for a while now, absolutely fantastic site with some great tips (the bridal shot post is brilliant). The lighting 101 got me completely hooked. Going to treat myself to one of the lighting kits he's arranged with mpex.com for the summer.
