Where are you looking at Bebo from? You could be behind a filtering software thats blocking their image server, especially if you are looking at it from work/school/college. And no, you won't be told here how to get around it either.

Try clearing your internet files (Tools->Internet Options and then Delete Files under Temporary Internet Files) and see if it makes any difference.

yeah have tried that but it didnt work either, tried downloading a few active x programs from download.com aswell. bit of a strange one alright.

Is it all images or just a few that changes everytime you refresh the page.

I dropped BeBo a note on this one & here is the response.

Follow this & see where it leads you.

    Hi

Can you please help us fix the problem by providing some information?

Using IE 6: right-click on any of the broken images, then click "Properties", a grey pop up box will appear. Stretch the box to the right, until you can read the full links that are displayed. You can copy the links for me, or take a screen shot by clicking anywhere inside the box, then press ALT and PrintScreen. Paste the image in an email and send to me at Lupita@bebo.com

Or, using Firefox: right-click on broken image, then click "Copy Image
Location", then paste it in in an email and send to me at Lupita@bebo.com

    Thank you!

    Kindest Regards
    Lupita

    Can you assist?

None of the pictures on my BeBo page are displaying? Instead I get a white box with a red "X" in it.

    What could be causing this?

    Did anyone solve this problem?
Im still getting the red X on my screen

Right click on the image, and select show image. Then copy and paste the URL in here and let us know which ISP you're with. Your DNS server may not like wherever bebo is hosting its images.

not sure what happened with my one, i tried loads of things etc to get it working, couldnt figure it out, left it for a few days and went back to bebo and all worked fine.

I can view that image fine from here?

So it has to be your machine/Browser or provider settings.

In IE7 you definitely have the "Show Pictures" checked marked in the tools Internet Options under the Multimedia section?

Are you running any extra security software for the likes of P2P or anything else that might be blocking Bebo from displaying Pic's?

no not that i know of:)
I have deleted a load of security stuff:mad:
firewall off, no pop up blocker, etc.
saw on another page that realplayer could be causing the problem-deleted it, another page recommended java update, didnt work either:eek:

i cant think of anything else. I have limewire installed but that never used to cause a problem. this has only started happening in the last month or so

 Really, this is getting beyond a joke?
Surely someone else has had this problem and sorted it?

I wonder if it could have anything to do with ActiveX?

I wish it was a joke, i feel like breaking my pc:mad:

What should i do with activeX??

I'm no expert on the Active X side of things but I think that it has some bearing on multimedia displays for different types of Web pages.

There is a section in IE7 in the TOOLS, Internet Options, then click on the "Programs" TAB, in that screen there is a "Manage Add On's" button at the bottom, if you click on that you can choose "Downloaded Active X Programs" & it will display what's installed on your machine.

I'm not fully sure, but I think Active X is tied in with Java in some way???

Maybe someone with more experience in this area can advise you further...

This sounds like a DNS problem to me. Try changing your DNS server and see if that fixes things?
