Dublin Soul Festival??

Hey,

Anyone heard about the dublin soul festival? Saw a flyer for it at the weekend, looks interesting. Is it on every year? Anyone heard of Rance Allen? Any good?

The Rance Allen Group are pure and hardcore Gospel/Soul. there's a few videos on youtube:

This is the first year of the festival. If it's a success then it may well be an annual event

The only problem is that Santoria are playing the same night as the Rance Allen Group!

Jaysus...I really don't know my soul. Are they any good? I put them into youtube and I was offered 'Santeria' or some dudes in a living room, playing guitars. Is that them?

I've actually never seen them live myself, but by all accounts they're a great covers band. I was hoping to see them at the soul festival, but I'll be performing in the Mansion House with the Gardiner Street Gospel Choir

Soul of the City are playing at two of the gigs as part of the Dublin City Soul Festival.

We're in Dandelion on Thurs. 24th May and we're back there again on Sunday 27th May for the Soul Jam Party.

Going to be a great laugh. And yes, Rance Allen kicks ass. Really looking forward to the Mansion House gig.
