"Where did you hear about Boards" I have never seen this linked in any website, mentioned in colleges or on the radio. I amazes me there is so many different users. So...where did you…

I'd been living in England for over a year and wanted more contact with Irish people than just listening to RTÉ1, Newstalk and Today FM on internet radio.

I wanted to find an Irish message board so I could be actively in touch with public opinion at home. I googled "Irish message board" and I found boards.ie.

I first heard of boards about 5 years ago through PhantomFM. I think I signed up then, but can't remember any of the details, and my email address has changed, so I ended up signing up again.

My mister and all the lads in work look at it.
I joined years ago, only really started to post a couple of weeks ago.
Now I'm addicted.
I will get bored, and calm down. I'm estimating that will happen in about 2 weeks.

It's all cyclical. I'll be bidding like a mad thing on eBay after my obsession here has died down.

Was in an internet café in Blackrock and out of curiosity I looked at the internet history to see what sites the last customer had looked at.

Lo and behold, one of the urls was boards.ie

I'm not exactly sure, it's at least 5 years since I started using it, but only a little over 2 since I started my account.

I think my father's friend (who goes by the username Valentia and is highly active in the Arts > Photography forums) recommended it to us when we had any troubles with techy gizmos (computers, mp3 players, et cetera)

I think my first post in this account was around the time I let my Creative Jukebox fall and it fell under the mystical powers of "The Stiction Overlords". It still works to this day thanks to a helpful boardsie whose name escapes me, but told me to power it on and strike it repeatedly with my fist.

And the rest is history, today I mostly use Lost, UCD, After Hours (esp. Cool Videos & Pics), North East Region and the Electronic Music forums, but it changes all the time!
