Hi, I am getting the following installed and the guides are not clear enough, so I could do with some advice.

    Components:
    • MYSON POWER EXTRA - SPRING RETURN ZONE VALVE - Manual here
    • Contact thermostat BRC - info here

The Myson has four wires. Two for the mains and two for an "auxiliary switch". My question is if the contact thermostat is such auxiliary switch.
    • If the answer is yes, the grey and orange wires go to the thermostat.
    • If the answer is no, then I assume only the blue and brown wires are used and the brown must go through the thermostat so it is switched there as required.

    Am I missing something?

    Thanks in advance,

    Zynks :o

Myson zone valves operate on live and neutral ,to open .
When the power cuts the spring closes it .

The other two wires are switch lives to carry on the circuit to the next item.

Sometimes you can have the live for the boiler ,coming from the zone valve when it opens.
