I've started taking the pill (yasmin), and i smoke. So I've heard there are certain risks with smoking and taking the pill.
Reading through the booklet thing, it mentions it in relation to thrombosis and being over 35.

Is there anything else I need to know, does it affect actual contraception? How dangerous is to someone under 35?

yes yes i know i should quit smoking.....

Why didn't you talk this over with the dr that presceibed you the oral contraceptive ?

Why don't you talk this over with the dr that prescribed you the oral contraceptive ?

You should not be taking a prescribed medication with out understanding how it works and it's side effects.

Smoking will not effect the effectivness of the oral contraceptive but will place you at a higher risk for some of the sideeffects, speak to your dr about this.
