How to check for VIA chipset?

Im doing something at the moment but it requires me to have a VIA SATA chipset. Im not sure how to go about checking for this.

I have a Dell Dimension 5000, 3 Ghz processor w/ HT. Any advice appreciated! Thanks!

Very unlikely you'd get a VIA chipset in a Dell.
Your model has an Intel chipset.

Ah sh!t!!! I really needed a VIA chipset!!! Would buying a PCI-E SATA controller (with VIA chipset) do the job? Im thinking of getting one off ebay. Thanks.

Its kind of hard to say whether or not it will do it because we dont know what you are doing that you specifically need a VIA chip for.

Not get someone else with a VIA chipset to do it for you? They are very common in most pcs.

All my mates have Dell setups for some reason. I have already ordered the PCI card, lets hope delivery is quick!!!
