Pixie4, cheating *is* forgivable, but you'll never forget and that's what will damage you down the line. The wondering. I think you chose the right option, for me, but it wouldn't be right for everyone.

    Be strong.

As others have said, it's completely personal -- 100%. For some, as you can see, it is not forgiveable.

Personally, I do not think it's something you can make a decision about unless it has happened to you. I do think it's forgiveable if that person is truly sorry. I have been forgiven for such indescretions in the past, and I'm thankful for that. Just because I cheated once didn't mean I didn't love him; it means that I'm incredibly stupid. We have worked past this and 2 years later we are in great shape.

So, is he sincere and is he admitting his complete and utter stupidity? If yes to both, and you want to forgive them, then give it a go. If you can personally never see yourself trusting him again, than I would give you the advice of moving on.

It's different for every person, personally if my girlfriend was extremely drunk and the guy took advantage of that I would probably forgive her if all it was was a kiss. Anything more than that they're aware of your actions and is unforgivable in my book.

Well, i think it totally depends on the circumstances. If it were me, i'd want to know all the details - how long did it last for? was it a one off kiss, or did he score her all night? Did he back away or just keep scoring her?

The fact that he did it to spite you over a small tiff would be the big problem for me. It sounds like he intended on doing it, and that's unforgivable.

I cheated on my gf once. I was completely hammered on holidays last summer, she was in the states for the whole summer and i hadn't seen her in two months.I backed away fairly quickly (lasted less than 1min) and totally regretted it. Ended up telling her. I was with her 18months at the time. A year on and we're as strong as ever. Still kill myself over it every single day. Worst thing i've ever done and i'll never forget it. My g/f's over it now (i think) although I don't think she fully trusts me.

I can't tell you what to do, but it seems like he did intentionally snog another girl cos he was pissed off with you, and that says something about him.
