My girlfriend has been on the pill for a few years now, and she missed taking her first one of a new pack today. Every site said to take two pills for today and then continue as normal. But there is confusion as to how long we should wait before resuming unprotected sex (one site saying two weeks, one saying seven days)*…

Get her to ring the dr the prescribed the 'pill' for her and check.
