I want to extend the video, mouse and keyboard cables (actually I want to put the puter in my wardrobe so I can't hear it ;) ). Can anyone recommend a place to buy about 8m of these cables? I found http://www.networktechinc.com. They guarantee no video signal loss etc over 500ft@800x600 but they're in the US so I'll be stuck with duty etc. Anyone seen these about and as cheap in europe?

Trust do a PC Extension Kit Lite
    • Complete kit to extend your mouse, keyboard and monitor
    • 300 cm total length, suitable for AT computers
    • Fully shielded for error free data transmission
    • Free serial to PS/2 mouse converter

Dunno if its long enough though.

Were you looking at the cat5 extenders?
If so a company called DCB Group in Bray and Cork do them. But for €438 ex vat they're way too expensive. They do other KVM gear though. You can get a keyboard and mouse extender to 250ft for only €68 which just leaves the monitor. DCB Group

Just had a better idea. They do a 75m monitor extender for €68. Its belkin so i'd imagine you could get it from loads of places. Then get a usb keyboard and mouse, plug them in to a powered hub on your desk and use extension leads to connect to the pc. I'd imagine the powered hub will overcome the leads being that long.

Search for 15 pin extension cables on google.
