Ok caved in and bought ps3 in Tesco's tonight and just finished registering through the PS3 interface, anyway when browsing the Sony Shop I see that I can buy Tekken for 9.99 and download it the PS3, says its a special offer until May. Is this right? Is there any catch (besides it taking up room on your hd).

    Thanks

    Snake ;)

    Umm, I don't see anything?

And it shouldn't be there, it was never announced or mentioned in any way as being downloadable, it's a full priced retail game.

Tekken 5 is there for €9.99 which is a similar type of game, not as good but it's great value for money.

Its v.good for that price seriously. Its basically the ps2 & psp versions but at 1080p

Its dirt cheap. I paid $19.99 on the USA server for it. €9.99 = $13.50

So Euro zone gets is far cheaper than the US. Bargain tastic.

What I like about it compared to VF5 is the loading

Loading between fights takes a second or so on Tekken 5, VF5 takes between 7-10 seconds to load.

And despite Tekken 5 bascially only being a PS2 game in high resolution - it holds up very well compared to the full priced VF5.

its a bit cr*p being credit card only - i think cards are the devils work and would have nothing to with them. and what about the kiddies ?? surely there must be a plan to implement some form of pay as you go

There is the option for playstation card.

I'm assuming this is some form of redeemable pay as you go card - like wii points and live points can be bought in a shop.

But I dont think sony have actually initiated doing this yet. Hopefully they will. Or even add the ability to use Laser would be nice.
