Hooking up 360 to analog stereo speakers?

I got the hd av component cable with my 360 and was wondering how do I connect my 360 to a set of analog stereo speakers? There doesnt seem to be any way of extending the red and white cables so hows it done?

ye'll get the "female to female" adapter in the Sony centre for about €3 (probably cheaper elsewhere) & RCA cable in any stereo/TV shop...I think Tesco might even sell them?
