Hey, I'm flying to England Wednesday week, And i only just noticed my passport is just expired, I noticed on their site they say a driving license is acceptable as a form of ID between Ireland and England, I'm just wondering does the provisional license count in this?

    Cheers

I have heard a lot of stories from folks travelling to england who couldnt go because they did not have an in-date passport. I am not sure if ryanair will standby their "U only need a driving licence" policy.

Travelling with Ryanair you only need a passport if you use the online checkin facility, otherwise a valid driving licence will suffice.

My passport was out of date coming back from London last year and I called Ryanair to confirm the provisional is ok. They said it was fine. So I brought the provisional driving licence and the expired passport just in case. No problems whatsoever.

    You'll be fine.
