Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This might be of interest to readers of the forum in the west.

We are the people behind a brand new radio station for the North West of Ireland. Recently awarded the licence by the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland we will broadcast to counties Galway, Mayo, Longford, Roscommon, Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal in Summer 07..... but to do this we will need talented people to make our station work!

This is were you come in.....

Maybe you have always wanted to work in radio but don’t know if you’ve got what it takes or even how to get started?? Well.... over the coming weeks we’ll be holding a talent search to find new presenters for our brand new station. Not only that producers, researchers, newsreaders, sports reporters or people who just like to entertain....

We will be traveling around the region holding auditions offering successful auditionees a place at an upcoming radio workshop. Impress at the workshop and you could end up with a full time position with the new station.

So if you fancy coming along and having a chat with us then fill out the form and apply online, everybody is welcome.

Not spamming, just making sure both areas get to see the post.

The west and the north west, I hope thats ok.

I've asked the mods to look at the possibility of moving your post to the Radio forum.

The problem is that advertising isn't free on boards.ie but then again it's nice for people interested in radio to know about such things...it's a fine line imo.

So can anyone from around the country enter or is this strictly confined to the Wesht/North-West? :)

    Thanks r3nu4l,

Yes, the talent search is open to everybody!

Is it true that you are a commercial station and that you have advertised in Donegal papers already today?

If so, I don't hold out much hope as that makes your posts recruitment adverts, which is a definite no-no. Viral marketing isn't really appreciated at boards.ie :)
