Good chatrooms?

Ok so MSN rooms are gone, Yahoo ones are full of trolls trying to sell webcam "hotties" and IRC sucks monkey balls. Are there any good Dublin/Irish chatrooms to spend a couple of hours in on a boring Sunday?

I only use MSN. How does one even start a conversation in a chatroom? At least on bulletin boards you just respond to an opinion, there's no awkward pauses or chats about the weather or whatever else you may talk about to fill the gaps in a chatroom.

I use skype, mostly yo talk to people I know, cheaper than phone calls but I've met a few interesting people and if you wanted a random chat it's as good a method as any I'd say.

All I can find is UK Chatterbox (sh*te) and the aforementioned Yahoo for Dublin chatrooms on Google. Am I having a blonde moment and theres more?

Has anyone tried Second Life?

Its a game but basically a chatroom with Pictures. Amazing bit of programnming to be honest. I'm addicted.

MSN voluntarily closed down their chatrooms based in the u.k. and Ireland.
They were not forced to close them.
Chatrooms or forums or any form of social interaction are not behind rapes.
Rapists are behind rapes.

You can be stalked on the street.
Should streets be banned? after all, they don't have any moderation.
Same goes for the phone or any other form of communication.
