    .. be able to play Pro Evolution Soccer 6 and God Of War 2?? They are new games and ive read somewhere that some ps2 games will be able to play on the ps3.. So will I??

    The US/NTSC version of the PS3 has proper PS2 support, the European/PAL version, which will cost us more, has had it's back-compatibility gimped so Sony can save some cash.

    Some PS2 games will work, some won't. I haven't seen a list yet.

    If God Of War 2 doesnt play then im going to be fairly pissed off cos its released after the launch of the ps3!

    I'd assume they'll have most games work. Proberly not PES6 as there will be a PS3 version, but I can deffo see God of War 2 playing on it. For that matter I hope the 1st plys aswell as I've yet to play it!

    Sony have a list of compatible games but won't release it until 23rd of March. Clever.

    Will be pes7 ,Msft only bought exclusive rights to pes6 on next gen machines and that was poo.

    Well everytime my friends call over we play PES6 so if it wasnt on the PS3 it wouldnt be ideal

    I have a US ps3 so im happy out that all my ps2 games will
    work. But all i want to see is next gen games fook the old ps2 versions.

    Unless all your games are the US versions, they won't work. European PS2 games don't work on a US PS3.

    Kevin2006, no one knows, and they're not releasing the list until Launch Day (supposedly).

    thank god i got a american ps3 i know for sure ill beable to play god of war 2

    and the american release date is the 13 of March
