yeah, though i've seen Issac refered to as "Mystery Sock" in some places, apparently a reference to how hiro pronounces Mister Issac.... so go figure.

Yeah good episode. Enjoyed Peter's use of the different powers. The fact that Peter used Eden's voice power indicates the power doesn't need to be used when he's around for him to absorb it.

What if Peter has Sylar's "know how things work power" and it makes him psychotic? Mmmm brains.

It will be interesting to see what happens to peter if he does absorb all of Sylars powers at once... i'd say that will be what sends him supernova

When he absorbed Sylar's powers last time he went into a coma, and it must be Matt's radioactive power that makes him go nuclear.

good episode, the only thing that p!ssed me off was the blatant iPod advert. I mean you have blood everywhere and a completly clean ipod sitting in a pool of blood playing music and they pan into the ipod then slowly pan down the ipod to the headphones.

Absolutely cracking episode I didn't want it to end....can't wait for next weeks.

Hope Simone stays dead as well, she is a pain in the ass character!!!

I speculate that ando has the power to avert death / bodily harm within a small area around him. It's possible he has TK but.... two characters with the same power on a TV show I think is unlikely. Literally distorting the probability of harm to 0 ^^, kinda cool, uber shields.

For some reason I don't think she will. I kind of get the impression that the future visions that Peter sometimes gets are from her. The vision of flying in the first ep, and the one where he dreamt her father died both happened when she was around. She wasn't around when he had the vision of him destroying New York, but by that point his power was growing stronger.

I don't know how that would keep her alive, but I just get the impression that her story isn't done.

i thought that too, but surely she'd have noticed prophetic dreams, and mentioned it when it came to isaacs future painting....

Have to say I think it is brilliant the way they're uniting/utilising all the powers in Peter.

Simone will prob be back for the finale - she's in all the visions : no loss if she isn't though!

can't wait for the explanations(if we get any) in next episode at the Bennett house... Think they'll just drag it out though

I think it could be her dead dad that led to Peter's visions. If I remember correctly he made his money from the stock exchange, where such visions would certainly be beneficial. And was the building he lived in the same building as the one where Dr. Who kept his pigeons? I vaguely remember Peter saying something along the lines of "Of all buildings you have to keep pigeons on, why this building?" as if it will prove to be important further down the line. My memory isn't what it used be though!

I don't think it was an advert. The scene just wouldn't have worked as well with a generic MP3 player. And looking at L31mr0d's sig you can see it is blood splattered as well.

Wasn't an advert - it was an ipod mini for a start - why would apple place a product they discontinued 2 years ago - altho confusing was the use of the distinctive white headphones.

Another non-product placement moment was when the radiation dude was using the dell laptop - black tape over the dell sign...guess they didn't sign the advertising contracts..

eh... the Nissan Versa? They have Hiro shouting "Versa!" way too much lately, although I have to admit, last time I rented a car it was a Kia Picanto, and I used to shout "Picanto" coming back to it, great little car, plenty of poke ;)

Anyway.... back OT, I did think the panning down along the ipod on the ground was a bit much and not needed, thus the sig :D

That's a new blue Ipod Nano, I thought the 'plugs' were great.. big explosion in the petrol station and "LOOK, not a scratch on the Versa"... And the iPod, well, I didn't think it was overplayed, the reason they showed it was 'cause Sylar was clearly hearing the music playing from it and it was making him sick.

Why suresh didn't catch on though is beyond me

I read somewhere in an interview with 'Simone' that
one more character get's killed in it before the summer break. She was saying how when you're cut out (although, she said she'll be in a few more scenes as well) it's sad and one more person is going to be killed.

Some of the product placements get them in trouble.

I believe the company that makes the garbage disposal units that Claire sticks her hand into in the first episode filed a lawsuit against them as it made their product look dangerous.

EDIT: Sorry Gareth. Just thought I'd play it safe and add some spoiler tags to your post there.

I personally hate when people give out about product placement. I mean we live in a world of products? removing labeling and names of products from everywhere makes a show unrealistic. I mean at my desk I have a bottle of Riverrock, a logitech mouse, a few cans of coke and 3 DELL monitors. If I was in a TV show people would be shouting "oh look at all the product placement", its not product placement, it's real life.

Although when they start making advertised cars indestructable (my reasons for hating GT) or just focusing the camera on one product then it gets ridiculous. In fairness they did overplay the ipod scene, i mean you'd have to be stupid not to realise that the noise that was affecting Sylar was coming from the headphones, yet they kept cutting between the ipod and sylar, until finally the've zoomed right in on it.

I guess all iPod product placement seems a bit tame once you've seen the film Blade Trinity.

Surely Gabriel would have nicked the iPod and sold it on ebay or something? I mean I though he was a genius?

Yeah it's the same building. I'd say it is gonna be important because a lot of things have happened there ie. Peter worked there, Claude and the pigeons, Simone's father died there, Peter's dreams, Isaac's painting etc.

Suresh does know! That speech that Sylar gave him outside the motel room, about how it is their destiny to search for the others and help them. Well, Suresh's father recorded that exact speech in a conversation that he had with Sylar before he was killed. Suresh knows that he's dealing with Sylar but I'm guessing he can't do anything for now as he risks being murdered like his father.

and peter can use hiro's power to save simone cant he... fingers crossed he doesnt?

I doubt they'll make that happen as it'd be unfair to poor aul Hiro and his attempts to save.... um... was her name Charlie? He went on a wee one about him not having full control and it all being destiny etc.

Peter using Hiro's power. I don't know why people are even confused about this. He didn't stop time, he stopped the damn wires in mid air using telekenisis like when he stopped the stick when dr.who was beat on him. Those wire thingies from the tazer then fell on the ground instead of keep on going after normal time resumes. Plus there was no indication of him using hiro's power.

Product placement rant: The shot looks good and it's probably why they set it up like that. Plus the device probably won't work if it's drenched in blood and then it won't show sylar's discomfort. Who cares if apple is paying them.

There was an indication - The annoying tazer noise slowed down and stopped

He couldve used either but I assume it was Hiro. I believe Future-Hiro touched him on the shoulder in the subway. so he absorbed the time power. thats my thory anyway.

I don't think Ando has telekenisis: since when in this series do any two characters have identical powers?
Sylar already stole telekenisis off a redshirt: end of that chapter
    :p

    I theorise that Ando either
does have a focusing effect on Hiro's powers though: he only got completely out of whack when he was flashbacked in the Charlie episode.

    Or...

Ando: 'I don't want to die!'............................................

    .............................yeah? Yeah? Think about THAT.

Also: look! not a scratch on the Versa...was a cute line. Well placed. The writers are not forcing their sponsorships into the show heavy handed; if it works, dont fix it.

Your confusing product placement with just using normal products.

The example of the ipod in Heroes was product placement. It did nothing to progress the story and was clearly a blatant advert.

Of course there is good product placement and bad. For example stargate the use of the Dell XPS gaming laptop is clear product placement (good for taking down ori motherships as well). Used a little it progresses the story. Where it gets out of order when they have the Dell logo splattered over half the screen for a long period of time. One episode the Dell laptop gets more screen time then most of the main cast. In SG1 case the product placement has been getting out of hand in the latest season.

Hiro and his rental car is also another blatant product placement that doesn't progress the script (it is more evident in the comics).

The main issue I have with product placement is that it ends up the story becomes second place to the advert. As pointed out just watch Blade Trinity to see how bad it can actually get.

I thought it was blatant when they first rolled in and the camera zoomed on the Nissan logo. That was before:

    "Versa!!!!" *Hugs*

"Oh wow, the Versa is bulletproof and indestructible. Just like in car ads".
