Anybody with a new Peugeot 407 Solaire having problems with Cruise Control. Basically the problem is that when you press the set button the display flashes --- and registers no speed. What am i doing wrong. The limiter seems to work. Do I have to set the wheel to the cruise position when it is at the correct speed or take foot off pedal?

The problem may not be confined to Peugeot i'm sure it is similar on other cars

Take your foot off the accelerator pedal and then use the +/- buttons (or something to that effect, its been a while since I drove one) and you should see a number in the display, where there was --- before. It starts at around 80 km/ph AFAIK.

    It's solved.

It is just a matter of taking your foot completely off the clutch when engaging it.

I think I know what is wrong.

You need to be in Transmission 4!
