    is there anywhere i can download it[microsoft paint] ?the version i got with my windows laptop aint working,and i threw out installiation files ages ago


    or a similer, free program?with small installiation file sizes as im on dial up

    Don't know where to download MS Paint, but Paint.net is quite good. 5MB download.

    cant use Paint.NET - you need to download a compment off windows thats 22mb

    Why not try to reinstall MS Paint?
    Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs -> Windows Setup -> Accessories -> untick Paint.
    Reboot the PC, then do the above again only re-tick the box.

    How exactly is Paint not working?

    you load it.......only white screen loads
    then program freezess
    i cant do what you recomemended as i dont have installiation cd any more and ive tryed your way before and it keeps requiring installiation cd

    Get a replacement CD. You're always going to need one.

    someone on another forum recommened i try run, and mspaint
    it worked
