Epiphone vs Yamaha apx

    Hi
I've been learning how to play guitar for few months now and I'm at the stage that I need a better acoustic guitar. I have a SX 20 Dreadnought and it was perfect for a beginner like me but since I've played my friend's guitar (an Epiphone) and I really felt the difference.
I'm googling a lot to see which could be the best for me (my budget is max 300-400euro) and actually I don't need a guitar with pickups (magnetic or piezo) as I'm not planning to do a gig at any point of my life :D, I just want a guitar which sounds great also without amp.
I think that the most out there would go for an Epiphone (very affordable price for good quality) or a Yamaha APX (series 3 or 5), which is more expensive and it is semi-amplified (if I'm not wrong).
What do you think is better for me? an Epiphone or a Yamaha?

P.S. I want to sell my SX, where is the best place to put it on sale? I have already an ad on buyandsell and adverts.ie...

The Yamaha F series are about as good as they get in a low-budget kinda range, and the higher end of those are great acoustics. What's your budget though? I'm invariably going to tell you to save until you have about 5-600 and get a Simon and Patrick. Best value in acoustics, bar none, hand-built in Canada from excellent materials. Mine sounds like it could be on any pro stage in the world and I got it for 550, down from 600, so I seriously advise you to stretch, you won't be needing another dreadnought acoustic.
