Society for some reason seems to have a thing against bald women, they instantly think neo-nazi/feminist/cancer. On Americas Top model the models had to wear skull cap things so they would see that without their hair they would have to rely on their other facial features to carry their beauty.

EDIT/ Actually [over] thinking this a bit more, historically bald heads on women was seen as a punishment eg. stripped of her hair, a women was stripped of her dignity. Lately Britney has been acting rather un ladylike [for want of a better phrase] so its quite apt imo.

I saw Sineád O'Connor on the late late years ago with a wig on. She looked absolutely stunning.
Shaved head for shock value. Christ, I even did it myself. i went weeks withoput lots of people recognising me. It was great fun.

I was in his house trying to get his net up and running and he had MTV or something on. There was a story about robbie williams checking into rehab for prescription drug addiction. Straight away I said "He's a ****ing pussy. I've beenm hooked on the =m things for 10 years and I don't need some over-paid shrink to tell me that I need to get off them". My friend laughed and we both wondered about the actual ego's of these people and whether or not their little trips into rehab are anything more than publiciuty stunts.

Well, since stardom seems so surreal I wouldn't be surprised if celebs were really paranoid about their conditions. I've often thought about what it would be like to be famous, as in cameras constantly flashing in your face with millions of people judging your looks and behaviour, it's not easy by any means, it's a dreamworld.
