Have tried everything that the link says and getting this error when trying to send mail from outlook

Task 'pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC78) : 'Unable to send the message. Please verify the e-mail address in your account properties.'

I can receive mail but not send.

    Any ideas?

you need to set up the sending server (SMTP) separately. Possibly with user name (which might include the @xxxx.xxx part or be only the name in front of @, in rare cases the user name is completly different) and password.

Or use SMTP of your ISP with your ISP user name for sending mail settings in Outlook.

It seems to be authentication issue. Have a look at the last post in this thread:

    I wasn't aware thay yahoo.co.uk have pop3, yahoo.com doesn't seem to.

To get around this I use the little program YPops http://ypopsemail.com/
    works a treat for me

To sync contacts and tasks etc between Outlook and Yahoo you need a program called Yahoo Intellisync, available from here: http://calendar.yahoo.com/?v=120
