ARGH.... Cant rename files?

Im not able to rename most of my files without having to change the file itself! If I go the file becomes unusable?

Any ideas?

Maybe try hiding the extension and then just right click->rename.

Either hide the extension like Ruu suggests, or make sure that you remeber what the extension was and append it to the new file name.
