Honeymoon planning - book ourselves or travel agent?

    Hi,

I am trying to plan our honeymoon to California. I am wondering what would be better to book everything ourselves or to go through a travel agent, i.e. Trailfinders.

Would there be much of a saving to be made or would it be safer to book through an agent?

    Cheers

Well we just booked our flight with trailfinders to California for our honeymoon. We're going to probably try and book the rest ourselves. I think it has to be cheaper when you're cutting out the middle man - one example is that trailfinders quotes us almost a grand for car hire and I found it online with the same car company for 400 euro..

Maybe if they have special deals with certain hotels it might be worth booking with them, but I'd do some research yourself first..
