Question RE Old Playstation in Black and White

    I have pulled my old playstation out of the box to play some old games and it is showing black and white on screen

    does anyone know if it's the cables that need replacing or is it the console itself

    any advice would be appreciated

    Might need to be tuned correctly to the tv?

    my new one that i bought like 3 weeks ago was playing dvds in black and white,but i brought it back to xtravsion and they fixed it

    yeah tried that mate - tried on various tvs too - no joy

    @qwertpla... it's a pretty old console so i wouldn't be able to bring it back
    it's one of the very first playstations so well out of warrenty

    Are you using the official wires or 3rd party wires?

    they are the original cables i am using - and i have tried cables from another playstation recently do it appears to be the hardware

    if yav a few scart sockets in the tv try it in a different 1
