    Anyone know the going wage for a reporter with the Irish Times?

    At a guess, from 30,000 to 75,000. Managing director Maeve Donovan and editor Geraldine Kennedy get about 350,000 before benefits, about 500,000 after.

    Deputy editor Paul O'Neill gets about 150,000, so you could guess about half that for senior staff and a quarter for juniors.

    Well, for a staff reporter, you're talking about roughly €60,000.
    Correspondents are on between €75,000 and €90,000.
    Editors, as in political, environment, foreign, earn more, obviously.
    Then there are the exdcutives.

    €60,000 isn't bad for a reporter, but that's for staff.
    There are short term contract staff on much less.
    I think the shift rate per day is around €220.
